I've always loved how this simple single transistor distortion circuit design (Tweed 5E3 breakup) reacts with my different amps. Bjorn was kind enough to put one together for me with some vintage components. We tried various iterations with his spin on this fabled circuit (via test breadboard and soundclips). They all sounded great, but we both chose the emitter bypass route because it added a little more hair, extra dynamics and some interesting decay. Because, as you know, more is better. Looking forward to it arriving in the shop to put it through the paces. Thank you Bjorn. You are truly one of a kind.
