The BJFe Honey Bee has been the go to low/medium gain overdrive for many players. With its signature warm and organic overdrive sound, it's a pedal that we always come back to. For 2020 Björn Juhl of BJFe has decided to give this loved classic an update with extended control over the tone and a little more gain on tap than the Retro or Standard.

The magic setting on a Honey Bee for us, and we assume many other, is every knob at 11 o'clock. You may have wanted to add just a little more treble, but this often results in a loss in that elusive low end thump that has become this pedals signature. Björn has now extended the range of the tone (nature) control to let you dial in that extra high end shimmer while keeping those bass frequencies overdriving in all their golden glory. The 2020 version has a tweaked EQ where the middle position of the tone knob has more bass than prior versions and clockwise adds high-end presence.

• Controls:
  Volume: Sets output volume level.
  Drive: Sets the amount of overdrive. Good starting point is at 12 o'clock so that you can get a feel for the dynamics of the pedal. Honey Bee follows your playing dynamics and volume control changes just like a tube amp, even at the highest gain settings.
  Nature: Tone control. At 7 o'clock you will have more bass and low mids. Towards 5 o'clock the focus moves to higher frequencies.
