BJFe Voltage Fuzz Bender - (VFB) - This new model is a hybrid circuit utilizing two vintage NOS bipolar transistors making up a preamp section that feeds into a vintage NOS germanium transistor. Voltage is regulated by adjusting the working points of the S control. This allows setting of sounds from gritty overdrive to fuzz to gated fuzz. This is accomplished by starving the output transistor. Very much like the first amp that I ever had which was a transistor radio / cassette recorder that gave up great distortion when the batteries were starting to die. As the batteries got more worn down the sound deteriorated. It is in fact a rather competent stomp box that can create sounds of overdriven amplifiers to fuzz guitar.
